The Ladue women's basketball team was taking their weekly trip to the Fifth Grade Center for practice when students began to chant Trump! The situation got completely out of hand and the comment, "Black kids go to the back of the bus" was made. One of the girls basketball players did not take the comment well, and stood up for herself. On November 12th, a protest was held outside of Ladue High School. The Ladue Women's Basketball team decided not to participate, because emotions were high and they felt that sitting out would be best. On November 13th, the Ladue Women's Basketball team decided to participate in the second protest. They wanted to help the rest of the Ladue students hold a PEACEFUL protest and let them know that the women's team has their back. The girls stood in the front of the protest with their jumpsuits on proud to represent Ladue High School. The Ladue Women's Basketball team has decided that these incidents will be a motivation for their team this season, not a distraction.
